We meet at 10am Sundays at Snug Primary School (2208 Channel Hwy, Snug) but come a bit earlier if you’d like a proper coffee or hot chocolate. Then feel free to stick around after the meeting for morning tea.
Our church family meets together in smaller groups through the week to spend time praying, encouraging each other and sharing what God is doing in our lives.
We also share a meal, enjoy the outdoors and time together. Contact Dan 0417 038 943.

Name: Snug Christian Church
RECOMMENDATIONS:
“Snug Christian Church is great place for children, families and adults to explore the Christian faith and deepen in love for Jesus. Everything they do emerges from their conviction that Jesus is Lord and Saviour and that we are here to serve.”
– Pete Adlem (Senior Pastor, St Clements Anglican Church, Kingston)
“I have always admired Pastor Dan Headley for his love for Jesus and the Word, and for his church and community.
I warmly recommend Snug Christian Church to anyone looking for a Gospel-centred church in the Channel.”– Campbell Markham (Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, Hobart)
WE LOVE THE GOSPEL
Snug Christian Church is not a building. It’s a group of people. Ordinary people from all walks of life who have come to know that Jesus is the saviour of the world. Jesus saves us by taking God’s judgment on himself; removing the guilt of everyone who accepts his sacrifice in their place and who follow him as their rightful king. For those who turn to Jesus, God promises eternal life with him in a new world, where everything is good and right, where there is joy and peace – to an extent that we can’t imagine.
This is the ‘good news’ that Christians believe to be true and it gives us meaning, direction and hope for this life and great optimism for the life to come. It also drives how we live and what we do in this life. We try to live our lives the way Jesus wants us to – loving people the way Jesus loved us – in a self-less way… for their good. Which also means we want them to know the truth of the gospel too. We’d love everyone to become a follower of Jesus and have the hope that we have, the direction Jesus gives and have his character of love formed in them.
We are an independent evangelical church:
We are connected to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches FIEC. As such, we are an independent reformed evangelical church. You can jump to our Beliefs now if you like. Otherwise, here’s a summary of some of our distinctive beliefs:
Summary of Beliefs:
Scripture Alone is God’s Spirit-breathed revelation to us, the sufficient and final authority by which we live and grow in godliness (2 Timothy 3:14-17).
Christ Alone is the one true saviour of the world (Acts 4:10-12), taking on himself the consequences of human sin in his death (2 Corinthians 5:21). As Jesus rose from the dead, so God will raise to eternal life all those who put their faith in Jesus.
Grace Alone is the only basis for our salvation which we receive by faith alone and not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9), though good works are a definite fruit of our salvation (John 15:5-8, Ephesians 2:10, James 2:14-26).
All of this and all that we do is for the Glory of God Alone (Romans 11:36; 1 Corinthians 10:31).
Our Mission:
Our mission is “to be a gospel-centred, disciple-making community in Snug, the Channel and beyond”. More on this can be found on the Vision page.
